The initiative rose out Governor Hassan’s meetings with various businesses to discuss the impediments that state regulation has on growth of tech industry. Some of their concerns included outdated laws and certain tax provisions that make it difficult for tech companies to start up.

Hassan stated that goal of this initiative is “to ensure that we continue to be a modern and attractive place for high-tech businesses to start up and grow.”
