“Live Free and Start” Initiative Announced by New Hampshire Governor
Governor Maggie Hassan of New Hampshire launched a new state initiative this week, “Live Free and Start.”
This new initiative is designed to make it easier for tech-based companies to launch and thrive in New Hampshire. The initiative rose out Governor Hassan’s meetings with various businesses to discuss the impediments that state regulation has on growth of tech industry. Some of their concerns included outdated laws and certain tax provisions that make it difficult for tech companies to start up.
Hassan stated that goal of this initiative is “to ensure that we continue to be a modern and attractive place for high-tech businesses to start up and grow.”
“Live Free and Start” will develop proposals for executive and legislative action, with the assistance of an advisory panel, which seek to implement policy changes in the state. The New England Council applauds New Hampshire for its dedication to promoting the Granite State’s growing innovation economy.
