Jay Hooley of State Street Receives Social Leadership Award

Jay Hooley, CEO of State Street Corporation, a NEC member, has been awarded the 2016 Lewis Family Foundation CEO Social Leadership Award by the Boston Business Journal.

Hooley, who is the co-chair of the 2016 New England Council Annual Dinner, is being recognized for creating Boston WINS, also known as the Boston Workforce Investment Network. “His vision emanates all the way down,” says Bob Giannino, CEO of uAspire, one of the five non-profits. “With Jay’s leadership they are crafting a way forward. Education is a difference maker and young people who are the first in their families to go to college need extra support in their lives.”

The New England Council congratulates Jay Hooley on receiving the Social Leadership Award and thanks him for all his efforts to better prepare Boston’s youth for the future.
