General Electric Creates Science Fiction Podcast

General Electric (GE), a New England Council member, is working with The Slate Group to create an eight-episode science-fiction podcast series. The series began on October 4th and will follow the decoding of a 70-year-old message from outer space.
The podcast is an effort from GE to connect with their younger audience. GE specifically created the podcast so that it would not be viewed as an advertisement, but rather as a way to increase brand awareness. The podcast will include eight episodes running between 40 to 60 minutes each and is available for free downloading. The idea for a podcast stemmed from the success of the television series “GE Theater” which starred Ronald Reagan in the 1950s.

The New England Council congratulates General Electric on this new program and looks forward to listening in.
