Framingham State Named New England’s Best Fashion School
NEC member Framingham State University’s (FSU) fashion design and retailing program was recently ranked 38th nationwide, 9th in the East, and 1st in New England by fashion-schools.org.
Fashion Schools is a website that ranks college fashion programs based on admissions data, graduation success, academic reputation and an extensive proprietary survey conducted with school and industry stakeholders. In its ranking, Fashion Schools highlighted FSU’s small class sizes and individual attention, state-of-the- art computer technology, dynamic merchandising and design opportunities, study tours, and business and industry partnerships.
Professor Pamela Sebor-Cable , chair of the Fashion Design and Retailing Department, said, “We are extremely proud of the strength and quality of our department, so it is always gratifying to receive this type of recognition. It’s a credit to the outstanding group of faculty we have at the University, as well as the former faculty members who laid the groundwork for the department.”
The New England Council congratulates Framingham State University on this recognition and looks forward to seeing the University continue to set the standard for fashion education on a regional and national level. Read more on the Framingham State University Website.
