Top Boston law firm Foley Hoag LLP, a Council member, recently opened its first office in New York City. The NYC office joins other offices in Boston, Washington D.C., and Paris.
Three new partners will be overseeing the office, Peter Sullivan, Walter Egbert III, and Daniel Schimmel. The New York City office will initially focus on intellectual property and international law and arbitration, strengths of the new partners. The firm expects the office will expand its practice areas over time and plans to announce new hires in the coming months.
“New York is one of the world’s largest intellectual property markets and a center of international litigation and arbitration. We have well-established practices in those areas, so a New York presence offers opportunities to grow our IP and international disputes practices. In addition, many of our existing clients are based in the New York metropolitan area and we look forward to providing them even more extensive services,” said Foley Hoag Co-Managing Partner Adam Kahn.
The New England Council congratulates Foley Hoag on this exciting new addition and wishes the firm continued success with its expansion.
