First “Leading In A Crisis” Event Features Life Science Leaders

On May 1, 2020, The New England Council hosted the first “Leading in a Crisis” virtual event. “Leading in a Crisis: Life Sciences” featured a discussion with Udit Batra, CEO of MilliporeSigma, and Rajeev Venkayya, President, Global Vaccines at Takeda Pharmaceutical Company, Ltd.

In a discussion moderated by NEC President & CEO Jim Brett, Batra and Venkayya explained how the life sciences community has worked to test potential treatments and vaccines for the coronavirus.  They shared how their organizations are working with others in their industry to develop research and solutions as the pandemic continues.
