Entergy Grants $250,000 to Support Workforce Development
NEC member Entergy, an integrated energy company engaged primarily in electric power production and retail distribution operations, recently awarded a grant of $250,000 to Jobs for America’s Graduates (JAG) to support workforce development. JAG is a state-based national nonprofit organization dedicated to diminishing the country’s student dropout rates from middle school through college, as well as developing the next generation of leaders.
Entergy Chairman and CEO Leo Denault said, “The JAG mission is very important to us at Entergy because it helps guide our community’s youth out of poverty through education. It is critical to have a workforce capable of supporting the long-term prosperity and growth opportunity of our community.”
The New England Council commends Entergy for its continued commitment to supporting the next generation of leaders and congratulates Jobs for America in receiving this grant. Read more in the Entergy Website.
