Edward M. Kennedy Institute to Welcome Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell

The Edward M. Kennedy Institute – an NEC member – will be hosting its first public program on May 10th. The featured speaker will be Senate Majority Leader Mitch McConnell (R-KY).

Senator McConnell’s appearance will be the first event in the Institute’s “Getting to the Point” series, a program designed to inspire conversations about pressing issues facing the country and world. It will feature speakers from a variety of industries and backgrounds. The format of the series’ programs will also vary, from lectures to town hall meetings.

“The Edward M. Kennedy Institute is dedicated to engaging the public in thought-provoking, bipartisan discussions,” said Institute President Jean MacCormack. “We are honored to welcome the Senate Majority Leader to the Institute for our very first public program.”

The New England Council wishes the Edward M. Kennedy Institute luck in their programs and looks forward to hearing the productive conversations they lead to.
