Congressman Stephen Lynch Briefs NEC Financial Services Committee

On April 9, 2020, the New England Council’s Financial Services Committee held a video conference with Representative Stephen Lynch (D-MA). Congressman Lynch is a senior member of the House Financial Services Committee, where he serves as the Chair of the Financial Technology Task Force.  The Congressman also sits on the Subcommittee on National Security, International Development and Monetary Policy and the Subcommittee on Oversight and Investigation.

The Congressman provided the Committee with an update on the House Financial Services Committee’s work during the peak of the COVID-19 pandemic. Specifically, he updated members on certain conditions for small-business loans, business interruption insurance and liability issues, and his thoughts on any future infrastructure packages that may come before Congress.
