CMBG3 to Host Webinar on California Prop 65 Changes

New Regulations Could Impact Any Company Doing Business in California

NEC member CMBG3, a law firm with offices in Boston, MA, and Providence, RI, is hosting free webinar focused on changes to California’s Prop 65 regulations.  CMBG3 invites any interested New England Council members to participate.

California is in the process of implementing regulatory changes under the state’s Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986 (known as “Prop 65”) that may impact any company that does business in California, including any product sales through third-party platforms into the state.  The state has proposed significant revisions to its “clear and reasonable warnings” regulations for “short-form” consumer product warnings. These changes will impact the content and transmission of the warnings and create a new compliance challenge and liability risk that can carry civil penalties of up to $2,500 per violation.

The webinar will take place on Wednesday, March 15, 2021, at 2:00 p.m. ET.  The program will feature presentations by two of the firm’s Prop 65 experts.  Topics covered will include how the regulatory changes will impact businesses, what businesses can do to ensure compliance, how we CMBG3 can assist businesses with compliance, as well as with submitting comments on the proposed rule changes.
