Cianbro Receives Additional Federal Funding for Navy Yard Project

NEC member Cianbro has received an additional $17 million dollars from the federal government for construction at a Maine Navy Yard.

The Pittsfield, MA-based construction company received the federal contract to make improvements at the Portsmouth Navy Ship Yard in Kittery, ME. Cianbro is tasked with repairing the crane rail system along the waterfront and providing corrosion protection of the wharf. This is not the first time Cianbro has worked in Kittery – last November they received a $28 million federal contract for initial updates on the wharf.  The current construction is slated to be completed by July 2020.

The New England Council wishes Cianbro luck in the completion of their project.  Read more in the Bangor Daily News and the Portland Press Herald.
