CCUA Launches ‘Better Banking’ Show to Promote Financial Education
Cooperative Credit Union Association (CCUA), a New England Council member, launched a new televisionprogram called ‘Better Banking’ to promote financial education in New England.
‘Better Banking’ is a 30-minute show that will air monthly on Cox Communications in Connecticut, Massachusetts, and Rhode Island at 7 p.m. on Thursdays and 2 p.m. on Sundays. Each episode will feature interviews and presentations aimed at improving financial education and literacy among viewers.
“Financial literacy is very important to credit unions and the cooperative business model they espouse,” said CCUA President and NEC Board Member Paul Gentile. “Adding a monthly cable TV program to its long list of education initiatives is just another way for credit unions to help consumers become better managers of their finances.”
