Beacon Health Launches Beacon Care Services, Making Mental Health Care More Accessible

NEC member Beacon Health Options recently announced the launch of Beacon Care Services, a provider of outpatient mental health therapy in accessible locations. The first Beacon Care Services location will be at a Walmart store in Carrollton, Texas.

Beacon Care Services’ entry into the provider service market marks an effort to address the dearth of behavioral health care professionals in the nation. Staff at each practice will include at least one clinician who will provide care that accommodates mental health issues such as depression, anxiety, stress, and grief.

Russell C. Petrella, Ph.D., President and Chief Executive Officer, said, “This initiative combines our company’s behavioral health expertise with our longstanding dedication to making quality care more accessible. We chose a retail setting for the first practice because it offers the convenience of a local neighborhood location that is close by and easy to get to, and our evening hours accommodate our patients’ schedules. Our online appointment scheduling system makes it easy for people to plan their visits ahead of time to fit into their busy lifestyles.”

The NEC congratulates Beacon Health on the opening of this new service and thanks them for their commitment to offering accessible mental health care services.
