NEC member Bangor Savings Bank was recently named the top Small Business Administration (SBA) lender in Maine for 2014. It has previously been awarded this honor in 2011, 2012 and 2013.
Bangor Savings Bank has dispensed over $2.7 billion in new Maine loans over the past four years, $1 billion of which were new business loans. In 2014 alone, Bangor Savings Bank provided $9.34 million in loans to 87 new or existing businesses. At a gathering celebrating the award, several recipients of Bangor Savings Bank loans spoke about the positive impact that partnership with Bangor Savings Bank has had on their businesses.
