Assumption College extends Tuition Freeze to Class of 2019
Assumption College, a New England Council member, recently announced that it will extend its tuition freeze to next year’s incoming class, guaranteeing the same price until the end of 2019. This is the second consecutive year the Worcester school has ensured that its students’ their tuition will not increase during the four years spent completing their degrees.
The ‘Assumption Assurance,’ as the program is called, is estimated to save students and their families as much as $23,000 over four years. In the midst of an academic climate where college prices are rapidly increasing— private, four-year institutions are increasing rates by four percent a year— Assumption’s tuition pricing guarantee program has proved to have a positive impact on enrollment and student satisfaction. 80 percent of students who enrolled in Assumption this year indicated that the program was “very important” in their decision, and 95 percent said that it enhanced the value of the College. In addition to a four-year tuition price freeze, the Assumption Assurance offers students an array of professional programs, a robust internship program, and the option to study at the College’s campus in Rome, Italy.
“Assumption College is pleased to continue its leadership role on the national challenge of college affordability, assisting students in their pursuit of an advanced degree,” said President Francesco Cesareo.
Assumption College is among only a small handful of private higher education institutions to offer a guaranteed tuition freeze. The New England Council commends Assumption for its promise to provide a consistently affordable and high quality education to students and families of New England.
