Analog Devices, Inc. to receive $105 Million CHIPS Act Award from U.S. Department of Commerce
New England Council member, Analog Devices, Inc., is set to receive a $105 million federal investment through funding from the CHIPS and Science Act. This preliminary award would support the semiconductor company’s fab site expansions in their Oregon, Washington, and Massachusetts facilities.
ADI hopes to increase its production capacity in Oregon and Washington by 70%, allowing the company to bring some of its overseas manufacturing into the U.S. The Department of Commerce said the investment is expected to create an estimated 500 new manufacturing and engineering jobs across all sites.
“This investment will help us strengthen our workforce training and community partnerships, as well as expand our efforts to manage our environmental footprint,” said Vincent Roche, CEO and Chair of ADI. The award is part of a federal effort to build up U.S.-based semiconductor manufacturing.
The New England Council congratulates Analog Devices, Inc. for receiving this funding to accelerate its semiconductor research and production growth.
