Partners for Youth with Disabilities to host its 4th Golf Classic in October
On Monday, October 7th, 2024, New England Council member, Partners for Youth with Disabilities will host its 4th Golf Classic at the Tedesco Country Club in Marblehead, MA. This event is dedicated to bringing light to PYD’s mission and supporting disability inclusion in the workplace.
For the last 39 years, PYD has helped over 12,000 youth reach their full potential by building skills through programs focused on career readiness, leadership development, internship opportunities, and more. PYD collaborates with schools, employers, and communities across and beyond Massachusetts to provide the inclusion expertise needed to foster inclusive environments where youth can be empowered to thrive as adults.
“Partnering with PYD, through Event Sponsorship, will enable us to engage over 1,000 youth nationally in mentorship, leadership development, career readiness and creative youth development opportunities, bridge the employment gap for young people with disabilities with work-based learning experiences and paid internships,” and “train more than 2,500 professionals nationally in inclusive employment and mentorship” said Tere Ramos, PYD’s Executive Director.
The New England Council applauds Partners for Youth with Disabilities’ commitment to empowering youth with disabilities and preparing them to be active and confident members of their community.
